As a concerned citizen in the South End, I
would like to bring attention to something I discovered in a
walk through the bush behind Muriel Crescent. I discovered a
straight trail was being cut through the bush toward the top of
the hill. It appeared to be a survey line.
If a housing development is being planned,
residents of the South End should be informed before it
proceeds too far in the planning process.
Residents of this area are familiar with the
water and sewage problems that occur regularly. Another
development is probably going to cause a serious overload of
the system.
It was my understanding there was a
moratorium on development until adequate water and sewer
facilities were established.
I am under the impression the city will allow
the development to proceed to such an extent that it will have
no chance of being prevented, and we will see septic removal
trucks making weekly visits to South End pumping
stations.
