A few weeks ago, Prime Minister Paul Martin
said something during a media scrum that has been eating at me
ever since . He said Canadians have to lower their
expectations.
I'm sure it was only a coincidence, but it
was almost word for word what former PC finance minister
Michael Wilson told us, about the time we were clubbed with the
GST.
Just so we're all on the same page I wonder
how much lower should we set our sights this time? Brazil?
Argentina? Bolivia ? How about a nice Mexican standard of
living ? Or is that expecting too much?
