I regret to say I have little confidence in your assurances that something will be done about that mess on Paris Street by 2026, Mayor Paul Lefebvre. I would have had more faith in your pronouncement if you had given of deadline of December 2025 — before the next municipal election.

Why are you giving the developer three years to do something? It's not as though they don't know how unhappy people are with that monstrosity, hat was supposed to become a condo development. The city has simply sat on its hands for several years, letting the public seethe over the colossal mess that is 'the bruise on Paris'.

Show us you are serious about getting meaningful action. Find out what the city can do, legally, regarding this situation and require rectification by December 2025. At least that way we'll know that you and your council are serious about fixing a real problem with the city's image. Or we'll have a chance to elect a council that will act on this eyesore.
