Letter: Four-laning MR35 a waste of time and money

Again, I sit down in front of my keyboard shaking my head in disbelief. Do 2,000 signatures on a piece of paper, demanding the four-laning of a section of Municipal Road 35 make it happen? I hope not! This request is absurd.

Again, I sit down in front of my keyboard shaking my head in disbelief.

Do 2,000 signatures on a piece of paper, demanding the four-laning of a section of Municipal Road 35 make it happen?
I hope not!

This request is absurd. The highway widening, now in the news, is straight as an arrow and flat as a pancake. The highway is not dangerous, the drivers are!

The dangerous portion of this blacktop with its curves, hills and rock cuts coming into the city is already four lanes.

Nickel Belt MPP Marc Serre should consult with the rest of his constituents in Nickle Belt before running off to Ottawa with his hand out for this non-essential project. This also includes the Maley Drive debacle.

Put any monies being handed out by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau into our disastrous infrastructure.

And you drivers travelling along that straight, smooth and pothole-free section of highway, slow down and enjoy the ride, because it gets a bit bumpy when you get into town.
