Editor's note: The following letter is in response to a letter written by Janet Murphy about shopping carts at Walmart.
You forgot to mention you get your loonie back.
Would you rather pay higher prices on products, or, better yet, pay a fee to be allowed to shop?
Cutting back on hours or eliminating positions is an effort to avoid raising prices. The several people whom you say would like a "little" part-time job still require minimum wage and several hours of training, benefits etc. I don't think you are the only one that thinks this way, there are several people that don't think outside the box.
