Premier Dalton McGuinty's support for the
civilized approach to bringing wine to restaurants is just one
of the many reasons I am proud to be Canadian. Why don't the
Liberals go a step further and add beer (to the list) too.
Better yet, why not bring dinner just in case the restaurant
doesn't have what you want on the menu.
I am more concerned with the cutbacks on
addiction services and medical care than I am about how to save
a buck or two at The Hilton.
I am not the smartest voter on the billet but
our voting system is something we may want to look into
changing. Our voting system lets these "turkeys" into
parliament to spend our money on wining and dining
strategies.
Let's make our country truly come of age by
thinking freedom from homelessness, spousal and child abuse;
quality health care; and on-going treatment care for substance
dependency and gambling addictions, etc.
If the people are sick, then our country is
sick. And in my opinion we are one sick country. Unemployment,
education costs, housing costs, taxes, etc. are growing at a
rate that kills Canadians.
