I would like to thank everyone involved in
the recent creation of my Canadian music video "The Power of
the Dream."
The video was made possible with financial
contributions, donations of time, talent and products, and the
support of the community.
Chris Laking of Laking Toyota, Sudbury MP
Diane Marleau, Ristorante Verdicchio, and Dr. Joseph Kurian of
Toronto made personal donations to help defray expenses.
The City of Greater Sudbury waived insurance
costs in the amount of $250 and provided assistance with the
permit process.
Science North and Dynamic Earth gave me
permission to shoot part of the video at the Big Nickel.
Many people donated their products.
For instance, Pete Chey of Nite Lite
Limousine provided his services for the entire day.
Echo Rental and Nickel City Camping supplied
two trailers for myself and my crew so we could change and eat
on site.
I would like to extend a special thanks to
the people who live on Basilio Street, Pietro Street and Craig
Street in Little Italy. We very much appreciate your welcoming
us into your community for the day.
I would also like to thank a number of
individuals who played an important part in the shoot.
Judy Hudder was my personal assistant and
also assisted director Steven Vitali. My brother Daniel Cluff
was the technical representative, acted in the video and played
the guitar.
Ben Rinaldo of Guitar Clinic donated the
sound system. Rodney Mitchel of Basilio Street lent me his CD
player. Zenny Signoretti, age 88, acted in the video and shared
her warm hospitality and wonderful enthusiasm. I loved having
coffee with Zenny. You are the greatest.
My daughter Sabina Cerri, Jamie McDonald,
Dakota Recollet, Jordan Hotta, Jenna Schroder, Tinzia
Anibellini and all of the kids on Basilio Street who acted in
the video. You were amazing and I am glad you had such a great
time. What a crew!
I also extend thanks to Marc Cyr, a talented
violinist, who donated his time and energy and acted in the
video.
The Antique Care Association of Sudbury
provided several antique cars for the shoot.
My friend Shelly Buer, who is in a
wheelchair, was in the video and provided her support on site
all day long.
A big thank you also goes to my director and
manager Steven Vitali of Toronto for his unrelenting support.
The Power of the Dream would not have
been realized without his vision and
encouragement.
And finally, I would like to thank God for
the beautiful sunny day when the weather forecast called for
rain.
My first music video was a tremendous success
thanks to the support of so many people. I am most grateful to
you for your kind contributions.
As fate would have it, the video shoot was
scheduled on the same day as my grandfather Albert Godin's
funeral. It was difficult for me to have to miss the service,
but I know my grandpa would have been proud of me and would
have loved this video.
Thanks again to all of the citizens of
Greater Sudbury who believed in my project and gave of
themselves. The video is scheduled for release later this
month.
