The Canadian Red Cross, Sudbury Branch would
like to sincerely recognize the 20 years of voluntary service
provided by Greg Babij.
Babij is a chartered accountant by
profession. Not only is he a well respected business person in
our area, he is also very family and community oriented. He was
introduced to the Canadian Red Cross in 1982 by his mother, who
was the previous treasurer for our Organization. For 12 years,
he held the position of treasurer until he took over the role
of regional council treasurer, as well as regional planning
co-ordinator for which he dedicated another four years.
In 1996, Babij was instrumental in developing
our Northern Adventure Raffle, which is one of our most
successful annual fundraising events.
He has received many awards during his
journey with the Canadian Red Cross.
Babij is a strong and forceful advocate for
the Canadian Red Cross and stands firm for the things he
believes in.
