The 3rd annual benefit concert for Northern Ontario Families Of Children With Cancer features Betty & The Bob's of Toronto.

"This is a group of high-energy, top musicians who will generate lots of laughs and plenty of great music at St. Andrew's Place on Sunday, April 27 at 7 pm," said promoter Bob Bale.

Betty & The Bobs features Wendell Ferguson on lead guitar and vocals, Katherine Wheatley on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Suzie Vinnick (2007 Maple Blues Winner Best Female Vocalist) on lead vocals, mando and guitar, ex-Moxy Fruvous star Dave Matheson on keys and vocals, Dave Woodhead on bass, Soozie Schlanger on fiddle and vocals, and Rich Greenspoon on percussion.

"This band rocked a full house at St. Andrew's Place a few years back with the crowd demanding their return. Well, they're back to support NOFCC again this year," said Bale.

The NOFCC is a Sudbury based charity providing direct financial assistance to families touched by childhood cancer. At any given time, there are 25 families who have children in active treatment in the North. This charity provides such things as: lap top computers, grocery and gas vouchers, pre-paid long distance phone cards and parking passes to help ease the financial burdens on these families.

Althought the NOFCC is based in Sudbury, it assists children as far north as James Bay, east to Mattawa, south to Parry Sound and west to Sault Ste. Marie.

Tickets are $20 and on sale at Black Cat, Jett Landry Music, and Sklar Peppler Furniture. For more information call Bob Bale 523-6200.
