A record number of people attended this year's Art in Bloom fundraiser, according to Marion Quigley, CEO of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
The CMHA hosted its annual fundraiser on June 6 at 169 David St.
“People seemed to enjoy the garden setting,” Quigley said.
She said planters supplied by local greenhouses were a “big hit” in the silent auction, and garden items from The Backyard Birder were popular.
Quigley said many people also liked chatting with the master gardener.
Guests also had the opportunity to purchase art by local artists, and indulge in a strawberry social.
“All in all, it was a very good event,” Quigley said.
