Artists on Elgin's newest exhibit a 'pot-pourri' of art

Featured artists Ellen Gorecki and Hermina Hubert have a “pot-pourri” of work on display at Artists on Elgin. Their crafts, paintings and photography, called “Pot-pourri — An Artistic Melody” are on display until June 23.

On June 12, both artists will be at Artists on Elgin to demonstrate how they approach their works of art from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

According to a press release from Artists on Elgin, the women went to elementary and secondary school together. Now they are both members of the Lively Heritage Arts Guide.

Hubert is a member of Walden Art Club, and Gorecki has been recognized as a honorary member after having served as the club's president.

Both artists have been involved with Artists on Elgin for several years. The press release stated both artists hope their work inspires others to enjoy the challenges of crafts, painting and photography.
