Sudburians voted to spend $5,000 in Bell Mobility community funding on a splash pool at O'Connor Park in the Flour Mill.
The grants came as the result of a Bell Mobility sponsored celebration of their enhanced network and service in Greater Sudbury.
Mayor David Courtemanche was asked what community projects should be on a list to be voted upon by residents over a three week period between June 26 and July 16. He suggested three - building a splash pool at O'Connor Park, adding bike racks and purchasing new equipment for Wasaka and Sudaca day camps.
On Aug. 22, Courtemanche and local dignitaries cut the
ribbon on the winning project which is now now complete. More
than a dozen Bell employees participated in ensuring the
project was on time.
