Blue Rodeo coming to town

As part of a 30-city tour supporting their new album, The Things We Left Behind, Blue Rodeo will play the Sudbury Arena on April 9, 2010.

Tickets go on sale Nov. 13.

The Things We Left Behind, the band's 12 studio recording, is being released by Warner Music Canada on Nov. 10. The album will include 16 songs. Warner Music is releasing the album in several formats, including a two-disc CD, double vinyl, and special iTunes digital LP that will include interactive album notes, exclusive photos of the band and portraits of their prized instruments, a song by song commentary from Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor, and a special acoustic performance of four new songs from the album.

Blue Rodeo has one five Juno awards as Group of the Year, has been handed keys to the city of Toronto, inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame, and has sold over four million records.

Partial profits from tickets sold will be donated to the Canwest Raise-A-Reader fund. The fund was created with Live Nation so artists could lend their voices to support family literacy in Canada. Since the launch of Raise-A-Reader in 2002, over $15 million has been raised.
