Blues for Food this Saturday downtown

One sure sign of summer is the Downtown Rotary Blues for Food Event. It is scheduled to take place on lower Durham Street this Saturday (June 20), from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

One sure sign of summer is the Downtown Rotary Blues for Food Event.

It is scheduled to take place on lower Durham Street this Saturday (June 20), from 11 a.m. to  8 p.m.

One special guest this year is Toronto's own Danny Marks, nicknamed the “Human Jukebox” for his wide repertoire of tunes.

Marks played most Toronto venues, including the gritty Isabella Hotel downtown in the 1980s where he held court over weekend blues jams, encouraging young musicians to learn the rifts and notes of old blues ballads. Marks is also known for his personable stage presence.

Admission is a non-perishable food item to support the Sudbury Food Bank. Scheduled events are:
