In its continuing effort to showcase Greater Sudbury’s hot bed of local talent, Theatre Cambrian’s Coffee House series continues this year, kicking off on June 5.
The first Coffee House event of the season begins at 7 p.m. at Theatre Cambrian.
Headlining June 5 is guitarist and singer-songwriter Jamie Dupuis. Born in New Liskeard, Dupuis recorded his first studio album, “Inspired by a Dream,” in 2011.
Placing first out of 1,000 competitors, he won the international Full Ride Scholarship, 2011 at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California.

A graduate of Cambrian College’s classical guitar performance program, in which he studied under Philip Candelaria, Dupuis earned second place in an international competition called Six String Theory and first place in the country category, which is held by Lee Ritenour.
Jamie has since established himself as a musician and teacher in Northern Ontario.
Tickets for Theatre Cambrian’s Coffee House are $5 in advance or $7 at the door.
