One of Northern Ontario's youngest musicians will give a
concert at the Jubilee Centre this Sunday afternoon.
Emmanuel Gasser, 11, will perform a free accordion concert at
1:30 pm.
Emmanuel is taught by Iona Reed-Pukara, and plays a variety of
styles: polkas, tangos, country and even rock 'n' roll.
He started playing the accordion when he was nine. His dream is
to play with the Polka King Walter Ostanek.
Emmanuel will perform nine of his own compositions at the
concert. His new CD will also be available for purchase. It is
titled Horsing Around with Cowboy Emmanuel Gasser.
The Jubilee Centre is located on Applegrove St. behind the
court house. Donations will be accepted to cover the costs of
renting the hall and refreshments.
