Three more films have been added to the growing lineup of Cinéfest flicks. The films are part of the World Cinema program.
The Disappearance of Alice Creed tells the tale of Alice Creed, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. She is captured by two ex-cons who are hoping to make a quick buck by holding her ransom. Creed is just as tough-headed as they are though, and won't go down without a fight.
Lebanon is the story of four young adults heading off to war. The men try to keep their wits as they operate a “killing machine,” and try to hang on to their sense of humanity during the chaos of war.
Winter in Wartime is a story set during the last winter of the second world war. Young Michiel is eager to do something from the growing underground resistance. Michiel's father is the mayor of the village they live in, and he must be careful to keep the fragile peace.
