On June 26, barber Paul Berthiaume will give his last haircut at his Main Street shop in Chelmsford. Berthiaume graduated from a Montreal barber school in 1959, when he was only 16 years of age.
“I don’t think I would go back to another thing,” he says. “I don’t get an Inco pension — but it’s worth it.” The 66-year-old barber has cut hair “from grandfather to grandson.” See page three for more photos and information.
