Christian films about life and hope are now being accepted for consideration for the Real Life Film Festival, slated for April 2011.

According to a press release, the Real Life Film Festival (RLFF) is looking for films that the entire family can enjoy together to show at its third-annual festival in Sudbury.

The submission period is open until Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.

This year,  festival organizers hope to showcase more northern Ontario films.

“We invite filmmakers of different backgrounds to submit films for official selection consideration,” Linda Madore, festival director, stated. “We are looking for films with impact that speak to the heart and which encourage people to live family life more fully. There is a need for more media that does just that.”

In the past, the festival has screened more than 50 flicks from Canada, South Africa, the United States and Czechoslovakia.

In tune with the festival's theme, Madore stated films should not sacrifice cinematographic excellence for the sake of providing moral content.

“Life and hope speak universally to the human spirit,” Madore stated. “Hope lifts the heart to experience life in all its beauty and fullness, in spite of struggles and suffering.”
