Sky received a Woman of Distinction award from the YMCA of Metropolitan Toronto and an honorary doctorate of letters from Laurentian University. She is regarded as “one of Canada's most distinguished documentary filmmakers,” according to a press release.

Tickets to the fundraiser cost $30, and are available at Rainbow Cinemas, Apollo Restaurant, Paris Natural Foods and the bookstores at Cambrian College and Laurentian University. The film is set to begin at 7 p.m.

Part of Recovering Love was filmed in Greater Sudbury, and executive director Diane Massicotte was a former board member at the Iris Addiction Recovery Centre for Women in Sudbury.
