A Pokémon Go event is planned for Memorial Park Sept. 3. Go/Sudbury takes place from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.

“With Rib Fest going on just a couple streets over, it's bound to be a lively day down at Memorial Park, so we're excited to show you what we've been working on,” said information on the event's Facebook page.

“So this event is definitely a first for all of us, and we're hoping you're all going to enjoy it. We plan to have around the clock lures and as many of the stops as we can in the park, and around the core of downtown.

“If you haven't seen the Pokestops downtown yet, there's a fun walk a lot of players like to do to hit all of them; keeping your item bag full, and hatching eggs at the same time! We're going to have music, food, games, and so much more for all of the people who come down.”

There's no word yet about admission fees, but the event will be a fundraiser for the NEO Kids Foundation.

Check back to the event's Facebook site as more information becomes available.
