Residents of Sudbury started lining up in front of the Sudbury Arena at 5:40 am on Thursday morning to get their tickets for Elton John's Sudbury debut.

By noon, the line-up was 16 strong and growing.

clip Fans set up chairs and got under their blankets as they prepared for the long night ahead of them. Luckily, one fan played  Elton John's greatest hits on his guitar, reminding everyone of why they had decided to wait almost 24 hours in sub zero temperatures.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 am, but will also be available online at greatersudbury.ca, for those who don't feel like braving the harsh winter weather to get access to one of the biggest concerts to hit Sudbury. Tickets will be sold first come first serve for both online and in-person sales.

The city hopes that their server will be able to handle the anticipated demands when people start flooding onto their website to purchase tickets. One official in IT services stated that, though all the appropriate measures have been taken to handle the increase flow in traffic, anything can happen.

John will take the stage on March 2 to an almost guaranteed packed house at the Sudbury Arena.
