Festival offers family-oriented fun

This year's Northern Lights Festival Boréal will be a family-friendly event. According to a press release from Northern Lights Festival Boréal (NLFB), children 10 and under will be admitted into the festival for free, when accompanied by an adult.

This year's Northern Lights Festival Boréal will be a family-friendly event.

According to a press release from Northern Lights Festival Boréal (NLFB), children 10 and under will be admitted into the festival for free, when accompanied by an adult.

Kids can take part in arts, crafts and games, and play on the climbing wall and gyroscope, while also catching live entertainment.

Acclaimed family entertainer Fred Penner will perform, along with Greggio, Andrew Queen, The Monkey Bunch, Tuba Boy, Laura Freeman and Spirit of World Drums.

Children's events at NLFB takes place July 10 and 11 from noon until 6 p.m. at Laurentian University.

Tickets are available at Jett Landry Music, Records on Wheels, Gloria's Convenience, Laurentian University's Alumni Office, Sudbury-area Home Hardware locations and online at www.nlfbsudbury.com.
