Lee Mayer (in the yellow survivor’s t-shirt) was joined at the relay by her family and friends as part of the Ties for Hope team. Mayer, who has been participating for the past four years, said this is her ''fourth struggle'' with cancer.''It’s ongoing,'' she added. Photo by Laurel Myers.

The Manitoulin Transport and Friends team has taken part in the relay every year since it began. The members hung a clothesline outside their tent, displaying the participant t-shirts from each year.
