Traditionally, the warmer months are a time to break out
your lighter coloured suits and sportswear. It's the perfect
accompaniment to your "Thank God winter is finally over" frame
of mind.
Colours like sea and sun hues of pastel blue, green and mauve
are particularly welcome, after long months of nothing but grey
and white.
Well, welcome to the fashions of spring and summer 2008, where
these colour schemes can only compliment the cool looks for
spring.
Let's start with the must-have khaki cotton suit. Have it
smartly tailored or push it casual with a polo shirt and a pair
of Alberto pants.
The next cool look we'll call the 'soft jacket.' We're talking
about lightweight, unlined sports  jackets that take you
from the office to the ball game. Wear them with chinos or
elegant denim, accompanied with a little attitude. If a suit is
part of your office theme, then the silhouette of choice should
be two-button, single-breasted with side-vents and
pic-stitching. It is a stand-out look with a sharp dose of
detail.
Of course, we would be delinquent if we didn't promote the cool
pocket square. It always will add magic and flair to the
simplest sports jacket or suit.
And to finish these looks off properly, we need to stress the
importance of footwear.
Whether it be 'retro chic' high-top lace-ups or a hip elongated
dress shoe, be sure they're appropriate or they can bring the
whole scene to a close if they appear out of style.
All the best in finding your style this spring. Let us know if
we can help!
