Canadians may fish licence-free in Ontario waters during the Ontario Family Fishing Weekend July 4-6.
During family fishing weekend, anglers fishing without a licence must follow the conservation licence limits set out in the Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary.
"Fishing is a great way for families and friends to spend quality time together outdoors," said Natural Resources Minister Donna Cansfield, in a release.
"Our annual Family Fishing Weekend is a chance for Ontarians of all ages to experience the joys of fishing and learn about the importance of keeping our natural environment clean, healthy and abundant."
