The Sudbury branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women's Club (CFUW) will present Celebrate Women, Thursday, March 26 at Fraser Auditorium at 7 pm. The guest speaker will be Rona Maynard, former editor of Chatelaine and author of the book My Mother's Daughter.

Maynard's book deals with her sometimes difficult relationship with her mother.

The annual fundraising event is co-sponsored  by the Sudbury YWCA and Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF).

Tickets for the evening event are $10 and they are available at Helvi's Flower House, Black Cat, Paris Natural Foods and Chapters.

CFUW is part of an international movement that helps women, enriches communities, and promotes friendship. The club provides post-secondary scholarships to women. This year the Sudbury club is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

CFUW has awarded $150,000 scholarships and bursaries to deserving students in the city during its 60-year history.
CFUW Sudbury meets at the Lions Resource Centre at 1233 Paris St. on the third Monday of the month.
