Great Big Sea is the next big act coming to the Sudbury Arena, courtesy of Live Nation, according to a reputable source known to Northern Life.
Great Big Sea is a Canadian folk-rock band that originated in Newfoundland and Labrador, and are best known for performing energetic rock interpretations of traditional Newfoundland folk songs, including Canadian sea shanties, as well as their own “toe-tapping” originals, according to Live Nation.
Twenty-time winners at Canada's East Coast Music Awards, Great Big Sea has won fans throughout North America and Europe with their hard driving and musical live performances.
The band's ninth, and most recent album, Fortune's Favour, was released last June.
The source said tickets are set to go on sale next Friday for the September concert.
