Your imagination can take you anywhere you want to go and the more creative and open you are to any and all of the possibilities, the better off you'll be. That's the whole idea behind the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Sudbury's third annual Great Cardboard Toboggan Event at Adanac Ski Hill on Feb. 3 from 9 am to 12 pm. Using only cardboard, tape, glue, and colourful paint, participants will be asked to create a unique toboggan .

However, organizers are quick to point out that it's not a race event, so coroplast is not allowed to be used in any of the designs. Nonetheless, cardboard can be picked up from restaurants, as well as furniture and electronics stores surrounding the Sudbury area. All local families, friends, and corporate sponsors will also get complimentary hot dogs, hot chocolate, and coffee.

To register or for additional information, phone Chantal St. Germain or Brad Beauchamp at 673-6161.

There are over 150 Big Brothers/Big Sister agencies in over 1,000 communities across the country. Each of which provide direct service to over 23,000 children by matching them to adult volunteers in quality mentoring relationships.
