Young Sudbury Singers was founded in September of 2007 in order to provide a place for young singers to meet regularly, to learn, laugh and improve their singing and other musical skills.

Since then, 22 eager young musicians have met together with the group's founder, David Buley on Wednesday afternoons.

In its first year, the Young Sudbury Singers has performed on the MCTV Christmas Telethon, with the Kampana Bell Choir and at St. Andrew's United Church.

Young Sudbury Singers present their first concert, In Story and Song, at Saint Andrew's United Church, 111 Larch St., Sudbury on Sunday, May 25 at 3 p.m. Piano accompaniment will be provided by Sara-Lynn Hutchison. They all strive for a fine spirited sound.

The concert will include: Ariadne Women's Chamber Choir, as well as Dale Pepin (Story Socks) and the Sudbury Story-Telling Circle.

Young Sudbury Singers will be singing examples of the music they have been making all year, interspersed with stories from around the world, including some offerings in French. There will be something for everyone to enjoy in this wonderful afternoon of Story and Song.

Admission is free, with donations accepted. For further information, contact Leslie Cassidy at 674-1221.
