In-your-face comedy tour comes to Sudbury

Canadian comedy legend Kenny Robinson and Darren Frost launched their northern tour that starts in Sault Ste Marie Mar. 26.

Canadian comedy legend Kenny Robinson and Darren Frost launched their northern tour that starts in Sault Ste Marie Mar. 26.   Bringing their in-your-face style of comedy, Frost and Robinson hope to show the north a night they will never forget, said a news release.

Kenny Robinson is a Canadian Comedy legend. For over 25 years Robinson has been touring North America winning both audiences and critical acclaim with his raucous, irreverent, profane and opinionated brand of in-your-face style of comedy and social commentary. Robinson has appeared at the renowned Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, Laffapalooza Urban Comedy Festival in Atlanta, The CBC Winnipeg Comedy
Festival, Zanies, L.A.'s Comedy Store and Improv.  
 
Over his career, Robinson has shared the stage with such comedians as Chris Rock, Dave Chappell, Jim Carey, Norm McDonald, Robert Schimmel, Tommy Davidson, Tommy Chong, Margaret Cho, Paul Mooney, Lenny Clark, Phyllis's Diller, and the late Sam Kinison. Robinson has co-hosted The Gemini Awards, as well as twice nominated for his groundbreaking CBC television special Thick and Thin. Robinson is also the creator,
writer and host of The Comedy Network's edgy late-night series After Hours with Kenny Robinson and star of his own special Comedy Now for CTV-Comedy Network.  
 
Most recently completed a role in the feature film Repossession Mambo Starting Jude Law & Forest Whitaker. Robinson's Nubian Disciples special made The Comedy Network's Top 10 Canadian Shows.

Darren Frost, whose style of comedy has been described as having "the quality of a satanic revival meeting" and "among the most daring comedians in Canada" by The Toronto Star. Frost performed a record 22 shows at the  Just For Laughs Festival including the highest attended Nasty Show, and the televised Gala.  He is also fresh back from the Seattle International Comedy Competition where he was one of only three Canadians chosen to perform.
You may have also seen Frost on the big screen in such films as Hairspray, Fever Pitch, Assault on Precinct 13 and Don't Say A Word. With over 50 commercials under his belt including Listerine Action Hero and Cash For Life Fairy to his credit.  Darren also lends his voice to multiple cartoons such as: Nickleodeon's 6teen, NBC/Discovery Kids Time Warp Trio and Fox's Medabots.
