Take that, Santa! A snowman goes to war against Santa on the giant IMAX screen at Science North, now until January 2010.
The 3D movie, Santa vs. the Snowman 3D, tells the tale of a lonely Snowman, who is dazzled by the wonders of Santa's Village but later wages war against Santa because he is jealous of the attention Santa receives during Christmas.
"An epic-scale polar war develops," states a press release from Science North.
Steve Oedekerk, the Academy Award nominated creator/producer of Jimmy Neutron, O Entertainment and IMAX worked together to bring the film to the screen. It was created differently than 3D films of the past, combining instead the properties of 3D and re-framed and animated with CG technology in 3D.
3D glasses are needed to experience the movie to its full potential, which is playing now, and will continue through the holiday season until Jan. 3.
