La Nuit sur l'étang is considered the ultimate gathering for the Franco-Ontarian community, and will be returning to Sudbury on March 21.

Sudbury Video News - La Nuit hits the stage Over its 36 years of existence, La Nuit has become a truly legendary event.

Once every 12 months, Franco-Ontarians come together to sing, dance and celebrate their culture. La Nuit has become a ritual for francophones from all over the map.

Fans range from teenagers to adults who come mostly from the Sudbury region but also from all over the province. Last year, more than 30 per cent of those in attendance came from areas such as Ottawa, Toronto, Windsor, Penetanguishene and Timmins.

"We are very confident that the 36th edition of La Nuit sur l'étang will be without a doubt the Franco-Ontarian cultural event of the year," said Mathieu Beausoleil, president of Les Concerts La Nuit sur l'etang.
