LOL festival broadcasting nationwide

The opening show of the LOL Sudbury Comedy Festival will be broadcast live across the country. The festival is hosting the first-ever broadcast of a live-comedy show in partnership with Cineplex Entertainment.

The festival is hosting the first-ever broadcast of a live-comedy show in partnership with Cineplex Entertainment. The May 29, sold-out, live show at Laurentian University's Fraser Auditorium will be captured on high definition video, and beamed via satellite to over 60 Cineplex locations, such as Nanaimo, Vernon, Edmonton, Toronto, and of course, in Sudbury.

Seinfeld star Jason Alexander will be hosting the opening gala. He will be joined by Sabrina Jalees, Winston Spear and John Moloney.

The broadcast will take place at 9 p.m. and advance tickets are available at cineplex.com or at SilverCity Sudbury.
