The sold-out live show, taking place tonight (Thursday) at 9 p.m. at Laurentian University's Fraser Auditorium, will be captured in High Definition, crunched into many billions of mega-pixels, and beamed via satellite into over 60 Cineplex locations across Canada simultaneously, including right here in Sudbury.

He will be joined by Sabrina Jalees (leading role Much Music's Video on Trial), Canadian comedy circuit mainstay Winston Spear, and one of England's big comedy exports, John Moloney.

Also on Thursday night, Laugh Out Loud NOW (Northern Ontario Wit) will be showcasing Brendan McKeigan (Sudbury), Mike Takacs (Thunder Bay) and Rick Lemieux (Timmins). LOL NOW is slated to start at 10 p.m. at S.R.O. Lounge on Durham Street downtown.

Male and female comics face-off in the Battle of the Sexes with Mike Bullard, Carrie Gaetz, Kate Davis, Erica Sigurdson, Simon Cotter and Dave Hemsted on Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m. at Fraser Auditorium.

Catch the Imponderables - Dave, Eric, Jon, and Tony - winners of the 2005 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Sketch Troupe, at 9:45 p.m. Friday at Fraser Auditorium, hosted by Winston Spear.

On Saturday, Comedy of Cultures returns to the Sudbury Theatre Centre. Hosted by Perry Perlmutar, the show features Sabrina Jalees, Cris Nannarone, Billy Bob Joe Taylor and John Maloney at 7 p.m.
