Martinis at the Max will be the official kick-off for the grand reopening of the newly transformed Science North IMAX theatre.

Sudbury Video News - Martinis at the Max The annual event will be held Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature musical entertainment, specialty martini bars serving three different types of martinis, hors d'oeuvres and a screening of Sea Monsters 3D: A Prehistoric Adventure in IMAX 3D.

In Sea Monsters 3D, stunning photo-realistic computer-generated animation transports you back to the Late Cretaceous, when a great inland sea divided North America in two. Follow a curious and adventurous dolichorhynchops - familiarly known as a 'Dolly'- as she travels through the most dangerous oceans in history. Along the way, she encounters long-necked plesiosaurs, giant turtles, enormous fish, fierce sharks, and the most dangerous sea monster of all, the mosasaur.

This event also celebrates Science North's 25th anniversary. Tickets are $50 (plus GST) and can be purchased at Science North or by phoning 523-4629.
