Whatever happened to Mayor Biggar? Did you know that in 1895, the third mayor of the town of Sudbury was Murray C. Biggar? (Only in the imaginary world of the stage, of course.)

Did you know that Mayor M.C. Biggar went missing one September night in 1897 and was presumed drowned in Lake Ramsey?

This fascinating mystery, The Case of the Missing Mayor, takes place on the Sudbury Theatre Centre stage for one day only, Sunday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m.

The cast will surprise and delight you: It boasts more than a dozen notable Sudburians, including current Mayor Brian Bigger as Max Silverman, coach of the Sudbury Wolves, Councillor Deb McIntosh as a schoolteacher, radio host Peter Williams as newspaperman JR Meakes and former police chief Alex McCauley as the cop who tries to solve the mystery.

Sudbury.com managing editor Mark Gentili will also be a part of the cast.

Presented by CKLU Radio, tickets for this engaging stage show are now available on line at CKLU.ca or at Jett Landry Music, Gloria's Restaurant and One Sky on Durham Street.

Heads up: Purchase your $25 tickets as soon as possible for this one-off afternoon of mystery, history and intrigue.
