Pete Leduc receives many compliments on his 1938 Chevrolet Town Sedan.
He usually gets two thumbs up from pedestrians, or hears people say “Nice car.”
The car hobbyist purchased the vehicle in August of 2007.
The car was restored 28 years ago by its former owner, who had it repainted and reupholstered.
The Blezard Valley resident has spent $20,000 on chrome and accessories.
The car has tinted glass, a DVD player and a stereo. He lowered the car with drop spindles. A dual exhaust was installed and the complete motor was chromed.
The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 100 miles/hour but Leduc says he loves driving the car at 30 miles/hour.
The Sedan was driven for 600 miles during the last 25 years, according to the previous owner, Leduc says. “I take it (the car) every day, if I can,” the retiree says. “I don’t like driving it in the rain.”
Leduc goes to car shows throughout northern Ontario, including Saturday evenings at the Canadian Tire parking lot in Hanmer and Sunday evenings at the Costco parking lot in Sudbury.
