Painted Moments, a gallery of oil paintings by Susan O'Donnell, will be featured at Artists on Elgin from Aug. 30 until Sept. 17.
According to a press release from Artists on Elgin, O'Donnell paints “incredibly life-like” portraits, still life and scenery.
She has studied art while living in Canada, and while she lived in Hungary growing up. She said her favourite medium is oil, and she enjoys portraits.
“I've done just about everything, but I love to do portraits because I like to capture the personality,” she stated. “The personality is not always in the face. It could be in the hand or the posture.”
O'Donnell will be hosting an opening reception at Artists on Elgin on Sept. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.
