As a fundraiser, the Sudbury branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) will host three events where the public can have their favourite pet photographed with Santa. The events take place Saturday, Dec. 12, 19 and 20 at PetSmart, 1399 Marcus Drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

“This is a fun opportunity for members of our community to show their support of the Sudbury SPCA while getting a great holiday keepsake,” said Peggy Byers, manager of the Sudbury branch of the SPCA, in a press release.

Each 4 by 6 picture includes a festive holiday frame and will cost $8 with $5 going to the Sudbury SPCA.

“Everything is done on site so there is no need to worry about the delivery or pick up of your picture, and there is no appointment necessary as all pets will be photographed on a first time first serve basis,” she added.

People without pets can still drop by, volunteer to help out or donate to the agency, Byers said.
