Grade 7 École St-Augustin student Austin Bouchard demonstrates his new SMART Notebook SE bracelet.

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) recently introduced the technology in the Grade 6 class at École St-Pierre and the Grade 7 class at École St-Augustin.

Software is permanently installed on the bracelets, and students can access this software at any in-school or external computer.

“This multi-tasking tool makes taking notes easier and is useful for scheduling management, filing lesson contents and creating content for homework assignments,” stated a press release from the school board.
