The Sudbury Arts Council and the City of Greater Sudbury are hosting a May 22 information session for groups interested in participating in Culture Days in September.
Culture Days, which takes place Sept. 26-28, is a collaborative movement to encourage awareness, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
Now in its fifth year, this Canada-wide celebration represents the largest-ever public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and cultural community in this country.
Sudbury has participated for the past four years with an increasing number of events each year.
Culture Days features free hands-on activities that invite the public to participate in the “behind-the-scenes” world of artists, creators, heritage workers, architects, curators, and designers in their community.
Who can participate? Everyone, from individuals to groups and organizations, schools, churches, service clubs – it is a cultural “show and tell” for the whole community.
The information session takes place starting at 5:30 p.m. at Little Montreal, located at 182 Elgin St.
