Fine dining will be brought to the heart of the city during the second annual Savour the Street dinner.

Premiere food providers from Greater Sudbury will supply guests with a meal, coupons, and goodie bags at the dinner party,  said Michael Cullen, festival director.

A community table, equipped to seat 300 people, will be set up outside the YMCA on Durham Street. Cullen said the event will showcase Sudbury's dining and hospitality sector.

Restaurant owner Mark Gregorini will be participating in Savour the Street again this year.

“(Savour the Street) is very unique,” he said. “It was a great way to promote the restaurant industry in Sudbury.”

“We're finally getting a really cool dining scene,” Gregorini added, noting he's glad to see more diverse restaurants being established in Greater Sudbury.

Funds raised from Savour the Street will go to the Greater Sudbury Restaurant and Foodservice Association to promote Greater Sudbury as a destination of choice for a fine meal experience.

Savour the Street will take place on June 26 from 6 p.m. until midnight. Sarah Craig and the Jamie Stever Band will entertain during the event.

Tickets are $130, and available exclusively at Kitchen Bits on the Kingsway.
