Canadian comedians Kenny Robinson and Darren Frost launched their Northern Comedy Tour in Sault Ste. Marie on Mar. 26.
Bringing their in-your-face style of comedy to Shaughnessy's Pub in Sudbury on Thurs, Mar. 27, Frost and Robinson hope to show the great white north a night people will never forget.
For over 25 years Robinson has been touring North America,
winning audiences and acclaim with his raucous, irreverent, and
opinionated brand of comedy and social commentary. He has
appeared at the renowned Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy
Festival, Zanies, L.A.'s Comedy Store and Improv.
Over his career Robinson has shared the stage with such comedians as Chris Rock, Dave Chappell, Jim Carey, Tommy Davidson, Margaret Cho, Phyllis Diller and the late Sam Kinison. He has co-hosted The Gemini Awards, and was nominated twice for his CBC special Thick and Thin. He is also the creator, writer and host of The Comedy Network's edgy late-night series After Hours with Kenny Robinson, as well as a star of Comedy Now for CTV-Comedy Network.
Promoters for Frost say his style of comedy has been described as having the quality of a revival meeting and that he is one of the most daring comedians in Canada. Frost has performed 22 shows at the Just For Laughs Festival, including the televised Gala. He has also just returned from the Seattle International Comedy Competition where he was one of only three Canadians chosen to perform.
Frost has appeared in Hairspray, Fever Pitch, Assault on
Precinct 13 and Don't Say a Word. He also has over 50
commercials under his belt, including Listerine Action Hero and
Cash For Life Fairy to his credit. Frost also lends his voice
to multiple cartoons such as: Nickleodeon's 6teen,
NBC/Discovery Kids Time Warp Trio and Fox's Medabots.
