Theatre Cambrian to showcase comedies
The applause for Theatre Cambrian productions will likely build with new shows in the works.
"So far, 2007-08 has been a very productive season for the theatre," said Mark Mannisto, executive director of the organization, in a news release "With the addition of a Best of Broadway concert to the 2007-08 season, Theatre Cambrian expanded its season to six productions, the most in Theatre Cambrian's history."
Since the success of last summer's last-minute dinner-theatre production, Jenny's House of Joy, the theatre added one last dinner theatre show.
Theatre Cambrian's new 2008-09 season has  seven productions and begins with dinner theatre productions. The troupe's fifth annual dinner theatre series will consist of four side-splitting comedies, promises a  news release.
The series starts with Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, directed by Mannisto, The production runs July 18, 19, 25 and 26 at the Jubilee Centre.
