If you’re looking for a way to celebrate 4/20, HQ Niteclub in Sudbury is hosting a musical event to celebrate cannabis culture.

Doors for the April 20 19+ event open at 10 p.m.

Dustin Seddon of Sudbury and Toronto’s JD Era, Toronto rapper Roney headlines the event with support from Lady SB and Young Stitch, as well as Sudbury performers Koraah & Koncept. Former Sudbury resident, rapper and podcaster ChezZza hosts.

Seddon said he’s excited to bring the event to Sudbury and to show off some of what the city has to offer musically.

“The local hip hop scene in Sudbury is pretty big for a northern town,” he told Sudbury.com.

Get a taste of what Roney has to offer by checking out his biggest track to date, “Forget About Me,” which has 2.8 million plays.

Lady SB is free off an appearance on the popular “No Jumper” podcast, while Young Stitch, who is originally from Kirkland Lake, is a past winner of the BET Freestyle Friday - Toronto Edition.

“Young Stitch I'm a big fan of for the reason not many people in Northern Ontario have made it in the hip hop industry and he has been in the industry a long time trying to break down the door,” Seddon said. “He signed a deal with Stealth Bomb Records (Snak The Ripper, Merkules & Junk to name a few labelmates). His album "Lions Eat Goats" with Junk was the No. 1 album in Canada that year & just shows what a small town guy can say to make an impact.”

Tickets are $40 or $80 for meet-and-greet tickets. There will be giveaways throughout the evening, including cannabis-themed prizes from event sponsor Steady Eddy's Cannabis.

Head to the Facebook page for ticket information. For physical tickets, contact Dustin Seddon or Ariel Dixon on Instagram, at @dustindoubleyou or @wicked_hipppie respectively.
