Sudbury is the focus of the 2010 Great Ontario Outdoor Adventure of a Lifetime Contest.

Four people will get the chance to win a fully-guided tour of Sudbury and the Georgian Bay area.

The contest includes a float plane experience, an aboriginal art experience on Manitoulin Island, hiking, paddling and biking adventures, a Nikon Prize Pack and Mountain Equipment Co-op Prize Pack.

It also includes round-trip airfare to Sudbury from anywhere in the continental United States or Canada, accommodations, ground transportation, meals, and tours of Dynamic Earth, Science North and Parks’ Interpretive Centres. The contest runs until May 14, 2010.

The contest, which is being hosted by Sudbury Tourism and Ontario Tourism, is promoted in the 2010 Greater Ontario Adventure calendar.

Copies of the free calendar are available in Sudbury at the Sudbury Welcome Centre, Ramakkos Outdoor Adventure Store and Science North.

The calendar features the parks of Ontario, and puts the spotlight on adventure activities and destinations in the province.

“Ontario has so many outdoor experiences to offer, it is sometimes hard to grasp them all,” stated a press release from Ontario Tourism.

“Ontario Tourism has brought this depth of outdoor experiences to the forefront with the launch of the visually stimulating and content rich 2010 Great Ontario Outdoor Adventure calendar.”

The calendar features “stunning photography, which will take you on a journey to both well-known and far-flung regions of Ontario. The images encapsulate breathtaking scenery with a blend of active adventures that create lasting impressions.”

The calendar also offers key outdoor event listings, birds of Ontario and features Ontario Parks, National Parks and Conservation Areas.
