There's a great deal of speculation about what makes April 20 an unofficial holiday for pot enthusiasts, but regardless of what you believe, there's plenty going on today to celebrate cannabis use. (Supplied)

There's a great deal of speculation about what makes April 20 an unofficial holiday for pot enthusiasts, but regardless of what you believe, there's plenty going on today to celebrate cannabis use.

A group called Sudbury 420 is gathering at the York Street parking lot across from Bell Park starting at 2:30 p.m.

From there, you can head to The Asylum for the 4-20 Sesh*Fest 2018, a comedy-music 420 celebration featuring four comics and three bands. For more on that event, click here.

On Saturday, 420 Sudbury is teaming up with 421 Fest Espanola. The event starts at 6 p.m. and goes until roughly 2 a.m. It all goes down at The Elks Club on Second Avenue in Espanola. For more information on that event, click here.

These events are for adults 19 and older, said organizers. Ensure you have your ACMPR card.
