Gas prices in Greater Sudbury are now eight cents per litre less than they were at this time last week, after substantial price drops.
Most gas stations in town are charging 94.3, according to GasBuddy.com. The cheapest gas in town is 92.9 at Independent at the Pumps on Lorne, while the city's most expensive gas is 99.9 at UPI Energy in Chelmsford.
Those are easily the cheapest gas prices the city has seen in recent memory.
In an unusual situation, Greater Sudbury's gas is actually cheaper than that in nearby Sturgeon Falls, where gas ranges in price from 95.3 to 95.9.
The average price of gas in Ontario today is 90.8. The cheapest gas in the province is 72.3 in Orleans (a suburb of Ottawa). The most expensive gas in the province listed on GasBuddy.com today is 112.0 in Dubreuilville.
