A guided painting workshop with inclusivity at its heart is bringing Pride to the many communities of the 17 corridor of Northeastern Ontario, with a stop in Sudbury on July 10 at 7 p.m.

Supported by Fierté Sudbury Pride, this colourful kick-off event will be held at Season’s Pharmacy and Culinaria (815 Lorne Street).

A part of PAINT S-CAPES workshops, "THE RAINBOW CONNECTION: Painting With Pride", Manitoulin Island artist Christine Mick will be bringing her artistry across the north, teaching her painting in every community that is celebrating Pride (Sudbury, North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, Espanola, Manitoulin Island, Elliot Lake and Sault Ste. Marie), with the aim of producing one of her signature videos at the end, showcasing the work of participants from across Northeastern Ontario.

Each participant in each community will be painting the same work, allowing for a ‘family’ of paintings across the north.

Sponsored by Seasons Pharmacy and Culinaria, Cara’s Convenience and Catering and PetSmart Sudbury, there will be refreshments available.

Tickets are $45 and include supplies. You can find more information about PAINT S-CAPES Social Painting Events and purchase tickets here.
